Keep Each Other Safe

Summary

Keep Each Other Safe was NYU’s unified public health campaign in response to COVID-19.

As a designer at NYU Student Affairs, I delivered brand extensions for two related initiatives — the Public Health Ambassador and Community Space Assistants — maintaining consistency and improving wayfinding in support of our campus community’s health.

Challenge

In a large, decentralized campus like NYU’s, the community’s safe return to campus in the Fall 2020 semester required highly coordinated efforts. The Public Health Ambassador and Community Space Assistant programs were created to deploy student workers around campus, answering questions, distributing PPE, and modeling behavior.

Merch and Signage

These bandanas, enamel pins, and badges were flexible, recognizable, and cost-effective pieces of uniform — PHAs and CSAs could wear them regardless of factors like weather, gender, body type, and so on. The accompanying signage is similarly lightweight, allowing the students to easily set up at different high-traffic areas.

Print

Move-in packets were distributed for students in residence halls, guiding them through quarantine procedures and resources.

Digital

This presentation was designed to introduce a broader student audience to important new policies and procedures.
