Keep Each Other Safe

Print signage for Public Health Ambassadors and Community Space Assistants.

Summary

Keep Each Other Safe was NYU’s unified public health campaign addressing COVID-19.

Under the umbrella of Student Affairs, two complementary initiatives were launched: the Public Health Ambassador and Community Space Assistant programs. To support our campus community’s health, I delivered brand extensions that maintained consistency and improved wayfinding.

Challenge

In a large, decentralized campus like NYU’s, the community’s safe return to campus in the Fall 2020 semester required highly coordinated efforts. The Public Health Ambassador and Community Space Assistant programs were created to deploy student workers around campus, answering questions, distributing PPE, and modeling behavior.

Merch & Signage

These bandanas, enamel pins, and badges were flexible, recognizable, and cost-effective pieces of uniform — PHAs and CSAs could wear them regardless of factors like weather, gender, body type, and so on. The accompanying signage is similarly lightweight, allowing the students to easily set up at different high-traffic areas.

Print

Students in residence halls received move-in packets guiding them through quarantine procedures and resources.

Digital

Finally, I designed the presentation below for the Office of Student Conduct, to help them introduce new policies and procedures to a broad student audience.

Impact

PHAs and CSAs played an essential role in NYU’s return to campus, standing out as recognizable health leaders. Our campaign’s strategic design decisions ensured their visibility and amplified their effectiveness, contributing to a safer, more unified campus.
